The African Conservation Foundation has won an award for its website, with africanconservation.org listed as outstanding, above and beyond the standard of excellence. No doubt in large part to the ongoing support of our loyal community, who are contributing to the site’s content in many ways. Given the high number of entries for the award, we couldn't be happier about this acknowledgement of the Web Marketing Association.
The International WebAward Competition is the premier Web site award program available today, organised by the Web Marketing Association. Now in its 13th year, the WebAwards names the best Web sites in 96 industries while setting the standard of excellence for all website development.
Few Website award programs recognize the individual achievements behind the creation of today's top web sites the way the Web Marketing Association does. They recognize the people and organizations responsible for developing some of the most effective and best web sites on the Internet today.
But more than just an award program that helps to increase website visibility, the WebAwards provides a benchmark by which all website development can be judged. More than a decade’s worth of judging scores defines what website developers should strive for in their website developing and design efforts.
ACF Director John Parkin: "The site has always been a trusted source of information for the conservation community, but now it has a fresh and clean look, a content management system with details on over 400 conservation groups and projects in Africa, conservation news and high quality images, videos and maps. We're thrilled that our users love all these improvements and that we are now recognised in this way."
