Cheetah population estimates vary from 2,000 to 15,000 but it is widely acknowledged that numbers are declining. 80% of the funds raised through the cheetah painting will be used for cheetah conservation projects in East and Southern Africa including protection of their habitat, human-wildlife conflict mitigation, training of local wildlife rangers, as well as conservation education.
