Geomatics Nigeria Limited (GNL) prepared four separate State Environmental Action Plans (SEAP's) for the Nigerian Federal Environmental Protection Agency, under World Bank funding. Similar studies were done for other States to aid in sustainable environmental management planning. GNL collected environmental data and prepared SEAPs for Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe and Taraba States. Elephants are becoming rare in many parts of the world, but not in Yankari Game Reserve, Bauchi State. Here conflicts between farmers and elephants was raised as a major environmental action planning concern. The elephants are becoming clever at pushing trees down to block road access.
