Wildlife Action Group (WAG)
The Wildlife Action Group is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation, working in the field of nature conservation and management in Malawi. Since its foundation in 1994 by Georg Kloeble and Susanne Kneissl, who have been living in Malawi for many years, the Wildlife Action Group has influenced towards a positive trend in the management of Malawi's dwindling flora and fauna by initiating a new approach in Forest-and Wildlife management wird the TUMA Forest Reserve Eco-system Rehabilitation Project... situated in the Rift Valley Escarpment near Lake Malawi. The Tuma Forest Reserve covers an area of 16.400 ha (164 qkm). Recorded mammals are: Elephants, Buffalo, Eland-antelope, Kudu, Bushbuck, Zebras, Klipspringer, Baboons, Vervet Monkeys, Leopard, Hyena, Genet, Civet, Warthog, Bushpig as well as a number of smaller antelopes, like Common Duiker. But Tuma is not only of interest for this mammals. There is a variety of trees and plants, birds and insects, which have never been recorded and studied.
