The intention of the Knysna Elephant Environment Protection Project (KEEP) is to create public awareness regarding the preservation plight of the Knysna Elephants. In addition, a fund raising goal of R250 000.00 has been set to complete the vision Ian and Lisette Withers have to make the park a self sufficient Elephant Park, Nature Reserve and much needed environmental training centre. Once complete, the Knysna Elephant Park will be the first and only Environmental Training Centre in the Southern Cape area where schools and tourists alike will be able to experience the nature Reserve and the Knysna Elephants in their natural habitat.
