Founded in 1965, the HAA is dedicated to the study and conservation of reptiles and amphibians, particularly those of Africa. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the herpetofauna of the world. Members receive African Journal of Herpetology (which publishes technical articles, short communications, commentaries, book reviews and meeting reports) and the newsletter African Herp News which includes announcements, life history notes, geographical distribution, husbandry hints, etc.
