Cameroon Environmental Watch (CEW), a technical partner of World Resource Institute (WRI) within the Global Forest Watch Program is a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) based in Cameroon, founded on the 16th of January 1997 under reference n° 00032/RDA/J/BAPP. It focuses on environmental problems related to “critical situations and critical areas”.

General mission:

To contribute to a better application and enforcement of norms in forest management and climatic prediction in Africa in general and Cameroon in particular.

Fields of activities:

Monitoring of logging using Geographic Information System (GIS);
Fight against poaching;
GIS support to community forest development and training;
Estimation of rainfall through satellite ; study of climatic variation with its effects on human activities.
