Association Gorilla
The 'GORILLA' Association (Association Francaise Pour La Protection des Gorilles et Autres Primates) was founded in January 1986 by Fabrice Martinez on the passing away of Diane Fossey. The Association reflects the continuation of this great lady's work and participates as directly as possible in the protection of gorillas and other large apes. This is a non-profit international association in accordance to the 1901 Law. The choice for the gorilla is linked to the urgency of its situation. The dangers encountered by the specie is due to the reduction of its habitat (especially for the mountain gorillas of Rwanda), the poaching which, after the killing of one individual affects the whole group, and subsequently endangers the whole family group. In fact the gorillas have a complex social organization and the group inter-dependence is very important.

The Gorilla Action :
  • To finance or co-finance active conservation projects in favour of primates near extinction.
  • To intervene with the local authorities on active projects
  • To favour anti-poaching patrol groups
  • To protect natural habitat
  • To inform and sensitize (the public)
  • To financially assist other organizations and projects.
