Only by involving local communities will wildlife conservation be sustainable in the long term. Based on this philosophy Awely is working in places and regions where our ideas and experiences do have a real effect on the wellbeing, needs and future of both people and wildlife.
Part of this process is the establishment of a worldwide network of our different coordinators in the field and external experts. Through this network the exchange of experiences, applied techniques, education tools, as well as common constraints becomes possible. To us, learning from each other is one important step for an efficient and successful project delivery.
Awely's Red and Green Caps
Our programs in the field are always developed in close collaboration with local organisations. In addition that collaborations with different kinds of institutions and companies play a vital role in reaching our objectives.
Our partners
While Awely is developing its projects in the field it also sustains a close collaboration with the zoo community. Having a strong background in the scientific and educational and conservation work of zoos, Awely sees a high potential in the long-term collaboration with these institutions. That’s why our organisation is a member of the WAZA (world association of zoos and aquaria), the PAAZAB (African Association of Zoos and Aquaria), the PASA (Pan African Sanctuary Alliance) and of the IZEA (International Zoo Educators Association).
