In cooperation with the Zambian Ministry of Tourism, Environment and Natural Resources, the Zambia Wildlife Authority, the Global Environment Facility and the United Nations Development Programme, the Lower Zambezi Conservation Trust is pioneering a new approach to Conservation and Community Development in Zambia.

With it Trustees drawn from the local community and private investors in the area, the Lower Zambezi Conservation Trust will develop the Chiawa Partnership Park in an area adjacent to the Lower Zambezi National Park in Zambia.

Reflecting a true partnership between the stakeholders, the development of this tourism enterprise will provide sustainable funding for both Conservation and Community Development in the area.

The main objectives of the Lower Zambezi Conservation Trust are;

• The Establishment and Management of the Chiawa Partnership Park;
• Development of the Chiawa Community, primarily through entrepreneurial skills development, employment, social awareness and sport.
