Project Protection des Gorilles (PPG)
Created by the Government of the Republic of the Congo and the Aspinall Foundation, Project Gorilla (PPG) works to protect endangered species in general and in particular gorillas in Congo-Brazzaville. Since 1986, the project seeks to reduce the trade in gorilla babies by promoting great apes confiscations by the Department of Management of Wildlife and Protected Areas. The orphaned gorilla confiscated by the Water and Forests are rehabilitated by the project and gradually released in the wild.
