The environment will play an increasingly important role in South Africa's future and Delta Environmental Centre is committed to educating for this future. It is the largest urban facility of its kind in South Africa with more than 40,000 participants every year.

Delta Environmental Centre is a private, independent company that aims, through innovative education and training programmes, to enable people to improve the quality of their environment by promoting the management and sustainable use of all resources. At present, the Centre caters for a wide spectrum of participants; it is open seven days a week and caters for some 4,000 teachers and pupils monthly. There are holiday programmes and conference facilities.
