Akpabuyo Bakassi Green Movement (ABGREMO) mission is work for the promotion of Environmental and Human Rights protection in and around the coastal communities of Cross River state, through information sharing, education and action programmes.

Again, we work to protect the last remaining mangrove forest of  Niger-Delta found in  Cross River State, Nigeria.

To become one of the foremost  NGO  in the locality working for the empowerment of the local communities both in and around   the coastal communities of Cross River State, Nigeria.

: ABGREMO meaning Akpabuyo Bakassi Green Movement is a voluntary youth Non-Governmental Organization which was founded by EDEM OKON EDEM in  March 1997 to proffer solutions to alarming Environmental Human Rights abuses, Poverty, Reproductive health problem, Violence against women and other social problems in the various rural/coastal communities. ABGREMO was officially registered as  a Youth NGO by Cross River State Government, Nigeria in 1999 with a Certificate No CRS 177.

ABGREMO recognizes the importance of promoting both environmental human rights and reproductive health rights especially for women & the adolescence girls (Youths). Our members /volunteers are striving harder to monitor our campaign against environmental human rights violation. At the same time, we have incorporated Reproductive Health Right awareness to help redress the deteriorating health status of the rural families, caused by lack of access to health facilities / information and poverty (low income rate). As the pioneer NGO in this locality we are challenged to continue the pioneering work of environmental & social justice in the area.
