We require an enthusiastic, reliable person to develop environmental science education programmes on long-term environmental monitoring within the fynbos ecosystem, aimed at educators teaching Natural Sciences or Geography to Grade 9 – 11 learners. The appointee will also be required to develop environmental outreach programmes for learners and to co-ordinate SAEON activities at national environmental and science events.

Reporting to the Network Initiative (NI) Leader, the Senior Forest Carbon Policy Advisor will provide support to GHOA goals to implement a programme to influence UNFCCC negotiations to incorporate issues such as Reduced Emissions from Deforestation and Degradation (REDD) into a post 2012 climate change policy regime.

  • Limbe Wildlife Centre in SW Cameroon takes care of infant primates that are lucky enough to be rescued from the illegal pet trade. In November 2007, ACF, ERuDeF and Daniel Taylor organised an art workshop with 13 Cameroonian artists in the centre in order to raise awareness and funding for great apes conservation.
