Responsibilities:
As a key member of the TNRF Secretariat, you will take a lead in implementing and adaptively improving TNRF's administrative systems and procedures in a fast expanding organisation, carrying out the following duties:

Office management and administration, including:
Ensuring that TNRF's Administration Policies and Financial Regulations are implemented and remain responsive to the needs of TNRF;
Ensuring the TNRF's offices are run professionally, with appropriate management and office administration systems in place;
Maintaining TNRF's on-line and off-line records and reports;
Senior secretarial duties, including typing, filing, photocopying, and minute taking of key meetings;
Managing the logistics for all TNRF meetings, seminars and workshops.
Qualifications:
TNRF is looking for a hard working, experienced and dynamic team member who has the following qualities and skills:

Sound qualifications and experience in organisational administration;
Computer literacy - a sound knowledge of general office and IT systems;
Excellent written and spoken English and Swahili
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills;
A self-starter willing to take initiative, be self-evaluative and learn quickly;
Terms:
A two year renewable contract with a four month probationary period, based in Arusha. TNRF provides a competitive salary and benefits based on experience, starting on TNRF's published pay scale 3 (USD 800 - 1400 gross per month gross).

An exceptional candidate may be offered pay scale 2 funds allowing.

The successful candidate should be prepared to start no later than 1st February 2008.

  • Limbe Wildlife Centre in SW Cameroon takes care of infant primates that are lucky enough to be rescued from the illegal pet trade. In November 2007, ACF, ERuDeF and Daniel Taylor organised an art workshop with 13 Cameroonian artists in the centre in order to raise awareness and funding for great apes conservation.
