The world's fastest land animal, the cheetah, Acinonyx Jubatus, is losing its race for survival. Once a common animal found on five continents, the cheetah is now endangered in many parts of its range. Loss of habitat, poaching, competition with large predators and ranchers is killing off the remaining cheetahs. Unfortunately, captive breeding efforts have not proven meaningful to the cheetah's hopes of survival. A first step towards a successful co-operation is to share knowledge, and to provide this information to other organisations, the media, and the public. The Cheetah Conservation Compendium is a web-based collection of concepts, scientific papers, reports, general information and news relevant to the conservation of the cheetah. This website is sustained by the following institutions, who strongly believe that the situation for cheetahs can be improved, if we all work together and share information regarding our activity, failure, and success.

Everyone who wants to help to conserve the cheetah through raising awareness is invited to use the information and documents provided in the Cheetah Conservation Compendium. Please make sure to cite the information and original sources correctly!
