Tanzania: Park Ecologist Grade II (4 posts), TANAPA
Tanzania National Parks is looking for four Park Ecologists Grade II. Location: Any of the National Parks. Reporting Relationship: To Chief Park Warden in the respective National Park.

(i) Qualifications
Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology / Natural Resources / Ecology /Environmental Sciences / Wildlife Management with a minimum of Upper Second Class.

(ii) Key Responsibilities

Collecting, analyzing and interpreting ecological data
Conducting ecological research
Monitoring effects on ecology due to tourists activities and infrastructure development
Supervising junior staff in data collection of animal stocks and biodiversity
Monitoring diseases and liaising with veterinary officers
Participating in research with external researchers
Assisting in environmental impact assessment
Participating in the planning of fire management, implementation and fire suppression in the Parks
Participating in animal census and bird count
Controlling pollution and exotic species (flora and fauna)
Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
(iv) Age limit: Not above 35 years of age

(v) Salary Scale: TANAPA G.6 (i.e. TShs. 668,700 x 8,100 – 757,800) per month.
