Conservation and Management of Eastern Mau Group (COMEG) with support from the Community Environment Facility (CEF) is implementing a three year project. The project overall goal is to promote restoration of natural resources and improvement of livelihoods in the upper catchment of Lake Nakuru. COMEG is recruiting a Project Manager who will report to the Project Implementation Committee (PIC). Responsibilities • Coordinate day to day project activities • Implement the recommendations of the PIC • Provide technical and administrative support to the project • Supervise the implementation of various project activities in collaboration with stakeholders • Prepare technical and financial reports as per the Financing Agreement • The project Manager serves as a project secretariat • Custodian of all property • Conduct monitoring and evaluation of the project activities Qualification and Experience The candidate should possess the following minimum requirements:- • He/she must have at least a first degree in Natural Resource Management, Community Development, Environment Sciences, Forest, Agriculture Extension • Must be knowledgeable of the project area • IT literate • Must possess a valid driving license • Must have basic financial management skills • Must have at least three years working experience If you have the above qualifications submit your application to:- The Chairperson Project Implementation Committee Conservation and Management of Eastern Mau Group P O Box 535-20100 NAKURU The Application must be received on or before 12th May, 2008. - Limbe Wildlife Centre in SW Cameroon takes care of infant primates that are lucky enough to be rescued from the illegal pet trade. In November 2007, ACF, ERuDeF and Daniel Taylor organised an art workshop with 13 Cameroonian artists in the centre in order to raise awareness and funding for great apes conservation.
