Kenya: Nine plans approved to help increase forest cover
The Government has approved nine participatory forest management plans in an effort to increase forest cover from 1.8 per cent to 10 per cent.

The plans have been prepared by various communities neighbouring major forests that have been degraded, threatening both human and wildlife.

The forests targeted by the plans are Rumuruti, Eburru, Mukogondo, Kasigau, Mwambo, Kereita, Ngangao, Kitobo and Ngare Ndare.
