Goualougo Triangle Ape Project

In 1999, the Goualougo Triangle Ape Project (GTAP) was initiated in the Republic of Congo in an area encompassing the southernmost sector of the Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park.

The overall goal of the Goualougo Triangle Ape Project is to promote the long-term conservation of both chimpanzees and gorillas through applied conservation research, enhanced protection of important ape populations and their habitats, and strengthening of local capacity to implement conservation programs.
