Fanamby is a malagasy word that means "challenge". It is a philosophical challenge and guarantee to conserve the environment while meeting human needs today and for tomorrow. Fanamby is making this challenge a reality by working with local authorities, partner NGO's and communities in Madagascar to develop sustainable natural resource management and conservation strategies that will save species like the Golden Crowned Sifaka (Propithecus tattersalli). Fanamby is implementing conservation strategies in three priority conservation zones, Daraina, Anjozorobe and Menabe.
