The Green Actors of West Africa (GAWA) network is an effort to unite the environmental movement across the region and better inform those outside West Africa of the challenges and successes realized by this team of dedicated activists

The GAWA network welcomes all who are working for social justice and aspire towards a soundly managed environment and natural resource base in West Africa and beyond. Contact us to join the network.

The goal of GAWA Network is to develop ways of enhancing cooperation and coordination between and among the various donors and environmental (nature conservation) actors in the sub-region.

The geographic coverage of initial GAWA network members includes: Ghana, Guinea, Togo, Benin, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone, The Gambia and Liberia.
