Overview

Are you looking to learn more about conservation, contribute to a meaningful project and want to spend some time in an unspoiled island paradise? You don't have to look any further!

Assist the local government with vital wildlife and terrestrial conservation projects as an expedition member in the stunning Seychelles Islands. Conservation work will focus on the beautiful forests and beaches, the abundance of marine life in the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean, assisting on priority conservation projects on Curieuse Island. Get a chance of seeing some of the bigger animals in the ocean such as whale sharks, dolphins and manta rays.

Partners on this programme include the Seychelles Centre for Marine Research and Technology, Seychelles Fishing Authority, the Marine Conservation Society of the Seychelles and the Marine Parks Authority.

Activities

This volunteer programme covers a wide range of conservation activities. You will rotate between projects and spend the majority of your time working in the Seychelles' forests and on the beaches, learning different field techniques at varied project sites.

You will return to your base with the team to have dinner and relax together at the end of the day. Camp duties are shared and you will find accommodation in shared dormitories.

The team will be working 5 ½ days each week. The weekends will be free so that you can explore the island, learn diving, snorkeling or just experience the local culture.
